Seven Bridges PTA Sells Flowers, Plants To Fix Up School Garden

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- One Chappaqua school fundraiser is offering the perfect antidote to what has -- so far -- been a dank and dismal spring: Flowers, flowers, and more flowers.

The Seven Bridges PTA is holding its "Living Color Flower Fundraiser" so it can dig up some cash for the repair and upkeep of the middle school's enclosed garden, Besides petunias like these, folks can buy other flowers, herbs, veggies, and plants.

Oh, and the Seven Bridges Middle School PTA is also selling succulent cedar frames, flats of baby vegetables, herbs, and ornamental plants; hanging baskets, and “color bowls” with such fragrant and tempting names as “Choice Flambeau” and “Serendipity Shift.”

Proceeds from the “Living Color Flower Fundraiser” will go towards the repair and upkeep of the enclosed garden at the school on Seven Bridges Road, organizers say.

They hope to have the garden in shipshape by the spring planting season.

The deadline for ordering your petunias, snapdragons, basil, oregano, peppers, tomatoes, and other garden goodies is Friday, March 31.

They should arrive at the school by May 10, just in time for Mother’s Day, which this year is Sunday, May 14.
