Video Surveillance Leads Police To Young Dirt Bike Thief In Northern Westchester

A boy was arrested for stealing a dirt bike from a Northern Westchester home.

The unidentified 12-year-old was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into the theft that took place on July 10 from a Clover Road home in Yorktown, according to the Yorktown Police.

Police were led to the boy after reviewing video surveillance from the homeowner, police said. 

The boy, who was interviewed with mother, was charged with juvenile delinquency, the same charge of petit larceny if charging an adult.

He was left at his residence in the custody of his mother. He is scheduled to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation on Aug. 7.
