Kieran O'Leary, public information officer for the Westchester County Police, said police wanted to speak to a juvenile after he had posted something on social media about building an incendiary device.

But the juvenile was not in school Friday, and as a precaution, police decided to evacuate the school, O'Leary said.

"That gave us some concern," O'Leary said. "The bomb squad was brought in, but nothing was found in his locker, though evidence was removed from his house."

O'Leary said there was never any threat to the school. The teenager's case was referred to family court.

Superintendent George Stone confirmed nothing was found in the school or in a locker.

"There was no threat at any time to students and staff at the building," Stone said. "Please know that the safety and security of students and staff is always our number one concern."
