OSSINING, N.Y. -- Luis Blanco, the 62-year-old Yonkers resident who was found dead on Route 133 in August was stabbed numerous times on his neck and torso and shot in the head, Ossining Police said Monday.

Police charged Joaquin A. Recinos-Garcia, a 27-year-old Yonkers resident with second-degree murder on Friday. Recinos-Garcia was remanded without bail to the county jail.

Police said Blanco was robbed of his belongings. They are still investigating why Blanco and Recinos-Garcia were in Ossining.

On Aug. 24, a woman was jogging on Route 133 at the intersection of Tavano Road and Somerstown Road when she observed a deceased Blanco slightly off the roadway.

An autopsy later determined Blanco's death was a homicide.
