South Salem resident Robert A. Ettlinger, who grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, died on Thursday, July 19 after battling cancer. He was 57.
He was a proud co-owner with Bobby Robustelli of A&A Auto Clinic in North White Plains and was a much-loved member of the community.
He enjoyed watching his sons wrestle and his daughter play soccer. Rob had a ready smile; he made friends easily, even in the hospital.
He was born Dec. 5, 1960 in New York City.
Ettlinger, affectionately known as "Hot Dog," is survived by his wife, Lisa, and his children, Zachary, Benjamin, and Caroline. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy, and his sister, Carla Viggiano, and her children, Alex, Nick, and Caity. He was predeceased by his father, Godfrey and his nephew, Tyler.
Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 Main Street in Mount Kisco.
Interment will be at Middle Patent Rural Cemetery on Sunday, July 22.
