Westchester Keeps Sex Offenders Off The Street On Halloween

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- For the ninth Halloween in a row, Westchester County has mandated that all sex offenders on probation attend an educational meeting as a way to improve children's safety while they trick or treat.

The event will host 30 parolees from Westchester County. County probation officers will be assisted by officers from both New York State Parole and Putnam County Probation.

The program will feature a variety of presenters including a female adult survivor of child sexual abuse who will share her experience and insight on the impact of abuse as well as her story of recovery.

Also presenting will be Keith Fadelici, assistant director of Victim’s Assistance Services, a non-profit agency that provides services and support for victims of abuse in Westchester. He will share his knowledge about the impact of sexual assault and trauma.
