Route 9A Road Repair Tops Briarcliff Village Manager's Report

BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- The northbound and southbound left lanes on Route 9A will be closed for repair Sunday until noon, according to Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli's latest report.

Southbound trucks will not be permitted on Route 9A and will be detoured onto the Pleasantville Road exit, while northbound trucks will be detoured onto Route 117.

Reassessment:

Tyler Technologies will extend the deadline for arranging individual reassessment informal review until Friday. 

Sprinklers:

Residents are advised to check their lawn sprinkler systems for possible winter damage.

Catskill Aqueduct: 

The NewYork City Department of Environmental Protection is scheduling a six- to eight-hour shutdown of the Catskill Aqueduct on Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Catskill Connection Chamber maintenance.

Mobile Passport Unit:

The Westchester County Mobile Passport Unit will return to the front of Village Hall on Monday, May 9, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. All fees must be paid by check, money order or credit card. Visit www.westchesterclerk.com for additional information.

The hydropneumatic pump station, comfort station and Club Field: 

The pump station is in operation and testing mode, pending final Department of Health approvals. The comfort station may be open next week. The Club Field is currently in grooming mode and may open next weekend. 

Con Ed gas main work:

Various gas main projects are currently in progress.

Law Park/Pavilion Fire update: 

Pavilion deck repair continues, and added work is focused on the current pool deck level/facilities.

Drop-in Technology Time will take place Fridays from 4-6 p.m. until June 10. 

Students from Briarcliff Manor schools will display their works at the PTA Reflections Arts Exhibit "Let Your Imagination Fly" through Friday, April 30. A reception will take place Tuesday, April 19, from 6:15-7:30 p.m.

Children ages 7-10 can create picture frames for A-Craft-A-Month on Tuesday from 5-6 p.m. Registration is required by emailing Amy Kaplan at abgkaplan@gmail.com or calling 914-941-7072.

A Children’s Battle of the Books Recruitment Party for kids in fourth-sixth grades next year begins at 6 p.m. Thursday. One for teens who will be in seventh-10th grades next year is set for Monday, April 25, at 6 p.m.
