Sex Offender Convicted Of Contact With 2-Year-Old, 6-Year-Old Reports Move In Ossining

A registered "lifetime" sexual offender convicted of having sexual contact with two victims under the age of 7 has reported a move in Northern Westchester.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 55-year-old Andrew Mulleavey, who has reported a move from a Stone Avenue apartment to a residence on Gates Avenue in Ossining.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Mulleavey a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated for lifetime registration, though he is subject to petition for relief.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Mulleavey had sexual contact with a 2-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy in September 1999. He was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse and sexual abuse in May the following year, when he was sentenced to six months in jail and five years probation. He remains under the jurisdiction of the Ossining Village Police Department.
