The heat will impact the area Sunday through Tuesday with real-feel temperatures reaching dangerous levels for several hours during the afternoons each of those days, according to AccuWeather.com.

An Air Quality Alert has been issued for 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday for Westchester and Rockland.

An air quality action day means that ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.

Sunday's high temperature will climb into the low 90s and Monday's high could reach 95 degrees with sunny skies both days.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high around 90, and a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front moves through, making for a more comfortable day Wednesday.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high in the mid to upper 70s.
