Yorktown HS Football Team Makes First State Final Since 1995

Yorktown High School's football team defeated Burnt Hills, 34-19, in the Class A semifinal game at Middletown High School on Friday, Nov. 17 to advance to the state championship game.

The final, against Section 6 champion, West Seneca West is set for 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24 at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome.

The Huskers last made the state final in 1995. Yorktown last won a championship the previous season, 1994, when it took its second straight championship. State title games were first played in 1993.
