PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Brittany Shields and Allison Clearly each put up 17 points for the Pace women Wednesday in a 61-43 victory over visiting St. Anselm College.
The Lady Setters won their fourth straight game and ran their record to 11-3 and 8-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the St. Anselm Hawks drop to 9-7 overall and 3-7.
Pace led by as many as 25 points and took a 35-13 lead into the halftime break, extending its lead 27 points early in the second half. The Hawks used a 12-0 run to pull within 15 points at 46-31 with 7:14 left in the game.
Kerri White hit a three-point field goal to end the dry-spell and the Setters would push their lead to 23 points with just under five minutes to play.
Shields led the Setters with eight rebounds, while Cleary finished with 17 points, five assists and four rebounds.
The Setters travel to University of Massachusetts-Lowell to take on the River Hawks on Saturday.
