Pace Football Drops Season Opener

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University football team started its season on a sour note with a 42-0 loss Friday night to Bentley University. 

Pace starts the season at 0-1 overall and in the Northeast-10 Conference.

The Setters’ conference foe opened the game up with three touchdowns in the second quarter and the Falcons took a 28-0 lead into the half.

Pace quarterback Jordan Raynor was 21-for-37 for 204 yards, including a 42-yard pass to new teammate Matt Tarpley, who caught seven passes for 92 yards.

The Setters will take the field again at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 at Stony Brook University.
