PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace Student Athletic Advisory Committee spent its weekend participating in the NCAA Division II “Week of Wishes.”
The SAAC took part in the annual “Pace Makes A Difference Day” as they served the community throughout the day. Athletes from the baseball, cheerleading, cross country, softball, swimming and diving and volleyball teams all participated in the initiative.
The cross country and volleyball players were at the Hawthorne Fall Foliage Festival at a table where they gave out information about upcoming Pace Athletics event, such as homecoming and the first annual SAAC 5K Fun Run on Nov. 3. The Setters also sold miniature pumpkins that children could decorate to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
SAAC will host the 5K Fun Run on the morning of homecoming to kick off the activities for the day. All proceeds will benefit the Pace University Annual Fund. Dean Lisa’s Chili Cook Off and a Homecoming Bazaar will follow the 3.1-mile run. Z100 and WFAS radio will be at the event with giveaways before the noon kickoff.
All students who preorder tickets will donate one dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Registration for homecoming is available online.
