Four Pace Lacrosse Stars Make All-Conference Team

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Northeast-10 Conference named four Pace University’s men’s lacrosse players to its All-Conference teams.

Matt Mirabito, Taylor Belviso and Peter Nieporent made the NE-10 Second Team, while freshman Steven Callahan made the conference’s All-Rookie Team.

Mirabito led Pace’s team in goals, assists and points at the attack position this season. He led the conference in assists with 35 and was second in the NE-10 in goals scored. He finished third in all of Division II in assists and seventh in points.

Belviso, a long stick midfielder, forced 22 turnovers, good for tenth in the conference and first on the team, and started all 15 games for Pace this year. He was second on the team with 45 groundballs.

Nieporent also started every game for Pace as a defenseman. He ranked second on the team and 11th in the conference, just behind Belviso in both respects, with 21 caused turnovers. The senior picked up 19 groundballs, as well.

Callahan, a freshman who contributed perhaps the most of any rookie on the team, caused three turnovers and picked up 13 groundballs.
