Briarcliff's Blevins to Pitch Boulders' Debut

Briarcliff's Bobby Blevins will have the starting pitching assingment as the first-year Rockland Boulders open their new ballpark, Provident Bank Park, in Ramapo, Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. against the Brockton Rox. Blevins, a 2003 Briarcliff graduate, is currently 1-0 in four starts. The right-hander has allowed nine earned runs and surrendered 25 hits in 27 innings. His earned run average is 3.00. The 26-year-old Blevins, who played at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007. Blevins played four seasons in Double A and Triple A ball for the Dodgers.
