Briarcliff High School Athletes Compete At State Level

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Athletes in three fall sports at Briarcliff High School have qualified for state competition, the school announced.

The boys and girls cross-country, girls tennis and girls swimming and diving teams all qualified on the state level this season.

Rebecca Lim, who entered the Section I girls tennis tournament unseeded, won the singles title and a trip to states last week.

Cross-country runners Ryan Gallagher and Saroja Rao each qualified for the New York State Cross-Country Championships on Saturday.

In addition to the varsity girls swimming and diving team being named the 2016 divisional champions, Claire Goldstein (200-medley relay) and Anna Ketron and Carly Schwab (200-freestyle relay team) qualified for states. 

Schwab will also compete in the 50-freestyle event.
