BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The annual school district budget vote and board of education election are today for the Briarcliff Manor School District.

Voting runs from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Todd Elementary School. Results from the election are expected to be announced in the evening.

The Board of Education recently passed the proposed $47.4 million budget for the 2013-14 school year at its April 23 regular meeting. While the vote was unanimous, several residents and parents mentioned concerns with the budget as it compares to districts around Westchester County. For more information on the budget, see our previous budget story .

Four candidates are running for two seats on the Board of Education. Current Board President Sal Maglietta and Trustee Jonathan Satran will join newcomers Paul Wasserman and Louis Linder. For more information on the candidates, see our previous story on the candidates.
