BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Briarcliff High School seniors Emma Burns and Caroline Pennacchio have been recognized by the United States Presidential Scholars Program as candidates in the 2016 competition.
The program honors distinguished graduating high school seniors across the country based on academic achievement, academic and artistic scholarship in the arts, or abilities and accomplishments in career and technical education fields.
Burns and Pennacchio are among approximately 4,000 nationwide honorees being recognized for their academic achievement and high SAT or ACT scores.
Burns and Pennacchio said they were honored and excited about the recognition and are looking forward to submitting their applications for consideration to continue in the competition.
