D.A.R.E. To Host Graduation At Ossining's Roosevelt School

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining's Roosevelt School will host the D.A.R.E. Culmination Ceremony on Friday, May 9.

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., in the Roosevelt School Gymnasium. The D.A.R.E. Program, run under the leadership of Ossining Village Police Youth Officers Detective Ed Walker and Officer Shelly Farrell, teaches children about the dangers of drug. alcohol and tobacco use.

"More importantly, through D.A.R.E., students are taught to make positive decisions and are given strategies to use when faced with challenges in many areas of their lives," representatives said in a press release. 

Students will receive D.A.R.E. t-shirts to wear to the ceremony and D.A.R.E. certificates to signify their completion of the program, representatives said.
