“Matt and Chris Li brought in samples of delicious homemade Chinese dumplings and taught the students some basic expressions in Chinese,” said language teacher and club adviser Johanna Foster. “They also gave a wonderful presentation on the history and celebration of the Chinese New Year.”

Three students who are members of the United Martial Arts Center in Briarcliff Manor showed off their skills and taught classmates basic moves.

Kate Gomez, Camryn Jaegan and Kate Sullivan came to class in uniform and explained how to perform self-defense.

“The students that presented the two workshops were dynamic, enthusiastic and overall amazing,” added Foster. “It was an incredible experience for my students.”
