BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – The Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District will hold an election Tuesday on the proposed 2015-16 operating budget.

The proposed budget for the upcoming academic year is $49.99 million, which is 1.34 percent, or $660,000, higher than the approved 2014-15 budget, according to a budget book published by the school district.

The proposed tax increase is 0.93 percent, significantly below the permissible 4.18 percent cap, according to the budget.

Trustee Michael Haberman is running unopposed for another three-year term.

Board Vice President Dina Brantman’s term also expires June 30, but no one has filed for that seat.

Write-in votes will be accepted.

Elections will be from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. at Todd Elementary School, 45 Ingham Road, Briarcliff Manor.
