The event, at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff, features a Hollywood-style night with dancing, dining and auctions all in support of Briarcliff schools. The red carpet will be rolled out for the guests' entrance - complete with a visit from the paparazzi.
"Attending the spring event is a wonderful way to support our schools and enjoy an evening in the community," Liz Susman Karp and Maura Bohan, co-presidents of the education foundation, said in a statement.
At last year's spring event, the foundation raised more than $50,000, a $10,000 increase from 2011. At this year's event, which will be held April 19, former BMEF Board Member Heather McVeigh will receive a lifetime achievement award for her contributions in organizing the annual event. After joining the education foundation's board in 1997, McVeigh served as the co-chair for the spring event in each of her 13 years on the board.
Silent and live auctions will be held for a variety of prizes. Raffle tickets and tickets for the celebration can be purchased by visiting the education foundation's website.
The fundraiser is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, and end at about midnight.
