Monday, May 21
Croton Board of Trustees Work Session 7:30 p.m. 10 p.m. The Village of Croton Board of Trustees will hold a work session to discuss possible legislative action, no legislative action will likely be taken during this meeting. The meeting will be held on the second floor of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck St., Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Cortlandt Town Board Work Session 7 p.m. 8 p.m. The Cortlandt Town Board will hold a work session to discuss possible future legislative action, no legislative action will likely be taken at this meeting. The meeting will take place at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
Tuesday, May 22
Late Migrants in Central Park Meet Ossinings own naturalist, Charlie Roberto, at Teatown Lake Reservation, 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining at 6 a.m., or at the corner of 77th Street and Central Park West at 7 a.m. Waves of spring migrants are passing over New York and many of them stay a while in Central Park, the green oasis amongst the granite spires. Join Roberto to look for warblers, thrushes, waterfowl and more on this morning outing. No children under 8-years-old. This event is free.
Croton CAC Green Living Series 7 p.m. 8 p.m. Join members of the Croton Conservation Advisory Council for the last installment of their Living Green series, with a presentation by watershed forester Brendan Murphy. Woodlands Under Siege will discuss the sustainability of the forests surrounding Croton, and the challenges facing the forests now and in the future. This event will take place at the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., this event is free.
Wednesday, May 23
Improv Master Ryan Stiles and Friends 8 p.m. 9:30 p.m. Ryan Stiles, one of the improv masters of television's Whose Line Is It Anyway?, will perform 90 minutes of improv at the Paramount Center for the Arts, 1008 Brown St., Peekskill. Tickets are between $35 and $55.
Teen Zumba Local high school student and licensed Zumba fitness instructor Hannah Ettenberg will continue her course for six weeks to keep you moving, dancing, and sweating. Its not your moms Zumba! For teens, grades 6 through 12. Space is limited. This event is free and takes place at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, N.Y.
Thursday, May 24
Matinee Movie J. Edgar 1:30 p.m. Clint Eastwood directs Leonardo DiCaprio in this powerhouse performance about the 50-year head of the FBI. The event is free and takes place at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, N.Y.
