BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. - The People's Caucus is starting its nomination process for the two open positions of village trustee that will be voted on in March 2016.
The positions of two village trustees will be up for a term of two years. Any member of the Caucus may seek nomination for endorsement as the Caucus’ candidate in the March election for village offices.
Only candidates who receive the Caucus’ endorsement will appear on the Caucus line on the March 15 election ballot.
All village residents interested in running as a Caucus nominated candidate for village office or for positions on the People’s Caucus Executive Committee are requested to contact Aaron B. Stern at (914)- 923-3343 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
Interested persons are requested to advise a member of the Executive Committee by Monday, Dec.7, 2015.
On Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at 8 p.m. the Caucus members will nominate candidates for the two Village Trustee positions and for the Caucus’ Executive Committee. The following Wednesday, Jan. 20, the Caucus will hold a debate and their regular meeting at the Briarcliff Middle School Theater.
At this meeting, those persons nominated for local elected official office will participate in a debate/meet the candidates meeting, where the public will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The meetings on Jan. 13 and 20 will be videotaped and shown on Cablevision’s local public access channel.
