This letter is to demonstrate that I stand proud to support Westchester County Board of Legislators Majority Leader, Catherine Borgia. Catherine Borgia has always been the strongest of advocates for our community. This is no different today than it was when she first began advocating for children & families in our community over twenty years ago. I have been so honored and grateful to know Catherine as a community leader, neighbor and friend for all those twenty years. Catherine has always “been there” to help assist, guide, support and root for what is best for our community.
During her time at the Board, Catherine has introduced legislation which establishes the right to paid sick leave for Westchester workers; legislation to protect immigrants by creating a policy of “public safety for all,” because she believes no one in Westchester should live in fear; legislation aimed to eliminate the wage gap faced by women & minorities; and a bi-partisan law that mandates the ban of toxic materials in our children’s’ toys.
In addition to Catherine’s compassion for people – she is a smart and financially astute professional. As Town Supervisor, Catherine facilitated a first of its kind agreement to consolidate the Town & Village court systems, saving taxpayers’ considerable dollars in the process. Catherine consistently fights for working class families by finding smart solutions to reduce the cost of County government through shared services & smart allocation of resources. Catherine is one of those politicians that rolls up her sleeves and does the hard work necessary to find workable solutions to problems.
Catherine is among the strongest voices at the Board of Legislators!!
Catherine has my full support and I am certain that she will continue to do a great job representing our shared values.
Please support Catherine on November 7th!
