Thousands of residents in Ossining and Briarcliff still were without power Monday afternoon but village officials confirmed that all polling locations and times would not change.

A few polling locations, like the Briarcliff Manor Youth Center, were without power Monday afternoon. Briarcliff Manor officials said they were informed by the Westchester County Department of Elections that generators would be brought to polling places without power on Election Day.

No polling places in Westchester will be closed, said Reginald Lafayette, the Westchester Democratic Chairman and Democratic Commissioner on the Board of Elections.

"All of the polling places will be OK tomorrow," LaFayette said Monday evening. "They will all be open. If Con Edison can't get out to them, in conjunction with the Governor's Office, we will be powering them with generators."

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino said on Thursday that lingering damage from Hurricane Sandy would not force the cancellation of elections in Westchester.

"This country's been through a Civil War, world wars, natural disasters, and never in the history of this country has Election Day been postponed," Astorino said. "And I don't think it'll be postponed next Tuesday either."
