Visitors To Sing Sing Prison Face Charges

OSSINING, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged two visitors to Sing Sing Prison in Ossining for allegedly bringing illegal items into the facility on Saturday, Aug. 9, officials said.

Jaahan Y. Mitchell, 25, of New Jersey was arrested for allegedly trying to bring a weapon in while visiting an inmate, according to State Police. 

Evelina C. Anderson, 43, of the Bronx was charged when she allegedly tried to provide money to an inmate, police said. 

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Village of Ossining Justice Court on Tuesday, Aug. 19, authorities said.
