SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- A subcontractor for the Sandy Restoration Project lacerated his torso after an accident with a saw at the Philipse Manor Train Station Thursday afternoon, according to Nancy Gamerman of the MTA.
The unidentified man was cutting a cable through when the saw kicked back and caused a 3-inch laceration to his upper torso, Gamerman said.
The man is currently getting stitches and then he should be immediately released from Westchester Medical Center, Gamerman said.
The incident occurred in the siding south of Philips Manor between tracks 10 and 12.
