At approximately 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, troopers received a report of an erratic vehicle traveling on Route 22 in the Town of Dover. The vehicle was reportedly failing to maintain its lane of travel and had swerved into the oncoming lane of traffic, state police said.

Troopers said they subsequently located the vehicle in the Dover Middle School parking lot.

Alyssa M. Bevilacqua of Stormville was identified as its operator and she was observed to be exhibiting signs of physical impairment, according to police.

Bevilacqua was unable to produce a physical driver's license but gave identifying information which came back to a valid driver’s identification, police said.

Bevilacqua failed standardized field sobriety tests that were administered to her and was arrested for DWI. After arrest and during processing it was determined that Bevilacqua had provided false identification information to the arresting Trooper. Bevilacqua had in fact provided a relative’s information in place of her own. After a check of her records, Bevilacqua was found to have a suspended driver's license.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated/drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and criminal impersonation in the second degree.

Bevilacqua was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert and processing of her was completed. She was subsequently arraigned in the Town of Dover Court on the aforementioned arrest charges. The court placed a $500 bail/$1000 bond hold on the Bevilacqua and she was released at the arraignment upon posting of the bail. Bevilacqua is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Dover Court on Nov. 21.
