Police said that on Tuesday, Feb. 7, Dominic Mignogno, 59, was transported from the Westchester County Department of Corrections to Yorktown Justice Court, where he was placed under arrest for criminal contempt after a warrant was put out for his arrest.

According to police, last December, officers launched an investigation into a report of a violated order of protection, which determined that at approximately noon on Nov. 21, Mignogno had in fact communicated with his victim by mail, violating the order that was issued by the Yorktown Justice Court.

A warrant was later issued, police said, and Mignogno was arrested this week and charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal contempt. After processing, he was turned over to the Westchester Department of Corrections. Due to the violation, his case has been transferred from Yorktown Justice Court to Domestic Violence Court. Mignogno is due back in court later this year.
