Police said that on Monday, March 16, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department received two complaints from the New York Sports Club, where victims had reported the theft of credit cards and other items from unlocked lockers at the club.
On Tuesday, March 17, the Town of Carmel Police Department received a similar complaint from Gold’s Gym, police said. An investigation by Carmel Police Department detectives and members of the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation revealed that Marvin was the suspect at both locations.
Sheriff’s Department Investigators arrested Marvin and charged him with two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony. Carmel Police additionally charged Marvin with grand larceny and possession of stolen property.
Marvin was arraigned before Town of Carmel Justice Thomas Jacobellis and sent to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond, pending a future court appearance.
