State Police were contacted by Cortlandt Manor homeowners who believed they were scammed by Theodore R. Cooper,31, of Nichols, N.Y.; Jack Cooper, 32, of Kingsport, Tenn.; Rodney T. Cooper,33, of Latham, N.Y.; and Kevin D. Perez, Jr., 30, of Schaghticoke, N.Y., following driveway sealing work that they had performed, according to State Police.
Troopers were able to track down the suspects and bring them into custody. All four posted $500 bail and were released with a scheduled court date of Friday, April 4, Troopers said.
After being released on these charges, Perez was then turned over to State Police investigators in Ulster County where he was wanted for another alleged home improvement scam, according to police officials.
