Erratic Driving Report Leads To DWI Charge In Yorktown, Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 23-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Yorktown Monday night.

Danbury resident Ismael Vasquez-Garcia, 23, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated BAC. 18 percent or more, a misdemeanor after police said they responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically on Crompond Road.

Vasquez-Garcia was arrested and transported to police headquarters where further investigation revealed he was operating his vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or more, police said. He was released on $150 bail and is due back in court on Sept. 28.
