North Street (Route 127) in Harrison has reopened following a serious two-vehicle crash that has closed the roadway for several hours, police said.

The crash, between a Boar's Head box truck and a car, occurred around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, trapping one of the driver's completely, officials said.

Police tweeted that the driver of the car was freed after "a complex extrication."

The driver of the car has been transported to a local hospital, but a police spokesman was not available to provide additional details.
