YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Briarcliff Manor man was arrested this week after, police said, he fled the scene of a minor car accident in Yorktown.

Tyler P. Curran, 26, was involved in a collision on Saw Mill River Road about 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Officers dispatched to the scene found Curran’s car a short distance away and arrested him.

The arrest report did not give any details about the accident itself.

Curran was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor because it was his first alleged offense; and leaving the scene of a property damage auto accident and crossing a double yellow line, both traffic infractions.

He was released on $200 bail to a responsible party and is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Wednesday, June 1, police said.
