Man Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash Near Somers HS Was Golf Pro

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A Somers man who was involved in a three-vehicle accident that involved two school buses on Monday, Oct. 31 has died, state police said Monday.

The accident occurred southbound on Route 139 when a school bus that had just pulled out of Somers High School and failed to keep right, hit Nolletti's Honda Accord sending it into another school bus.

Martin Nolletti Jr., 60, of Somers, died on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from injuries he suffered from the accident, said State Trooper Melissa McMorris.

The accident occurred southbound on Route 139 when a school bus that had just pulled out of Somers High School and failed to keep right, hit Nolletti's Honda Accord sending it into another school bus, state police said.

Three students were taken to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Nolletti was born on April 5, 1956 in Port Chester and also lived in Mamaroneck, where he graduated from high school and played competitive golf. He went on to become a golf professional for the United States Golf Teachers Federation.

Nolletti is survived by his mother, Dolores DePaoli, and his sister Lynette Nolletti.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.
