BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- John Mangialardi, 55, a resident of Briarcliff Manor, died on Sept. 3.

Mangialardi was born in Manhattan on May 3, 1958 and is the son of Dominic and Nancy Mangialardi.

John was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Fordham University and St. John’s School of Law. He was a former Assistant D.A. in the Bronx and was a partner in the law firm of Mangialardi & Berardino in Hartsdale. He was a candidate for Ossining Town Justice.

He was a Lt. Colonel in the 5th Legal Support Detachment, 56th Brigade, N.Y. Guard and had been a JAG Officer for more than 14 years. He was an active parishioner of St. Augustine Church.

John is survived by his wife, Arlene (Paregian); daughters Katie and Linlee; his parents; sisters Nancy Mangialardi and Emily Anne (John) Ferro; in-laws Philip and Rose Paregian; his sister-in-law Alice Guida; his nieces and nephews, Christine and Michael Guida, and Laura and John Dominic Ferro.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Sept. 8 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 381 North Highland Ave., Ossining. The internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, money can be donated to a college scholarship fund for John’s daughters, Katie and Linlee. Dorsey Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
