Briarcliff's Campion Elected Westchester Chiefs Of Police Officer

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association announced the election of officers for 2014.

The mission of the Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association is to build a mutually beneficial network between its members to benefit the communities that we serve and to promote public safety. The association works to improve police methods and the enforcement of laws.

The officers elected for a one-year term beginning on January 1, 2014 are:

  • President: Chief Gregory J. Austin, Rye Brook Police Department
  • Executive Director: Chief Joseph DelBianco, Mamaroneck Village Police Department (Retired)
  • First Vice-President: Chief Michael Cerone, Irvington Police Department
  • Second Vice-President: Chief Norman Campion, Briarcliff Manor Police Department
  • Past President: Chief John Brogan, Scarsdale Police Department
  • Secretary: Chief Robert D’Angelo, North Castle Police Department (Retired)

In addition to the officers, several members were elected to the board of directors as well. 

The following police chiefs will serve a one-year term:

  • Chief Joseph Benefico, Pelham Police Department
  • Chief Joseph Burton, Ossining Village Police Department
  • Commissioner David Chong, White Plains Police Department
  • Commissioner Charles Gardner, Yonkers Police Department
  • Chief Daniel McMahon, Yorktown Police Department

The following chiefs were elected to a two-year term on the board of directors:

  • Chief Timothy Bonci, Eastchester Police Department
  • Chief John Costanzo, Tuckahoe Police Department
  • Chief Betsy Gelardi, Dobbs Ferry Police Department
  • Chief Anthony Tramaglini, Croton on Hudson Police Department
  • Commissioner George Longworth, Westchester County DPS
