Ramel Floyd, of Hempstead, N.Y., was arrested after he entered Sing Sing around 1 p.m.,Tuesday, to visit an inmate, according to state police.
"While being searched, Floyd was found to be in possession of 6 rubber finger tips containing 19 grams of marihuana," according to state police. "Floyd was charged with promoting prison contraband 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation."
Floyd was processed on the charges at the State Police barracks in Hawthorne and then arraigned in the Village of Ossining Court and is being held at the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, according to state police.
