Update: Metro-North Delays Last Hours After Girl Is Struck By Train

Metro-North Harlem Line service experienced residual delays for several hours after a girl was struck by a train at Valhalla Station Monday morning. 

Some earlier trains experienced delays of 90 minutes or more between North White Plains and Southeast after the incident, which occurred just before 8 a.m.

Metro-North trains are delayed on the Harlem Line after a girl was struck by a train in Valhalla, according to the MTA.

The incident took place around 7:50 a.m. Monday at the Valhalla Train Station at 2 Cleveland St., according to an MTA spokesperson.

The woman, who has not been identified, was taken by ambulance Westchester Medical Center in critical condition, the MTA said.

Information was not available regarding how the woman was struck. An investigation is underway.
