Two Pace Athletes Named Academic All-Conference

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Pace University student/athletes William Woodard and Ursula Vero have been been chosen to the Northeast-10 Conference 2011 Fall Academic All-Conference teams.

Woodard started all 10 games on the offensive line for the Setters football team this past season. In the classroom, he posted a 3.54 GPA in the Lubin School of Business, majoring in business management.

Vero had an outstanding senior season for the women's volleyball team as she finished eighth in the NE-10 with 44 service aces along with 212 digs. The Setters were selected to their third straight NCAA Division II tournament and finished with a 20-11 record. In the classroom, Vero posted a 3.93 GPA in the Lubin School of Business as a business management major. 

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements: participated in at least half of the team’s competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; achieve a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and spent at least one academic year at his or her current institution.

The Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR).
