BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- 2015-2016 tax bills are out and should have been received by Briarcliff Manor residents. Bills can be viewed and paid  online by visiting www.briarcliffmanor.org. Understand that you are responsible to have the first installment paid by July 1.

Reach out to the Tax Department at 944-2723 before the due date with any questions or concerns, or a 5 percent  penalty will be applied.

On Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m., Scott Craven, Hudson River enthusiast, is back by popular demand to share his multi-media presentation focusing on the history of copper mining and shad fishing at Sparta Dock: north of the Scarborough train station.

This area was a working commercial fishery well into the 1980’s. This program is co-sponsored with the Briarcliff Manor-Scarborough Historical Society.

Light refreshments will be served.

2015 Summer Recreation Program Registration continues for spring programs and events. Pro-rated registration still available for some programs.

Pool & Tennis Permits and Programs: Permit Sales are ongoing. 

New Castle Art Center's spring programs and VBM resident registration is underway.

The VBM will be partnering with other Summer program providers to offer additional Specialty Camp Programs.

There are several 1-week camp offerings available throughout the summer including “PlayWell Teknologies” LEGO Camps, “Engineering for Kids” Camps, “IncrediFlix” Movie Making Camps, US Sports Institute “Multi-Sports” camps and sport specific camps & clinics in Soccer, Baseball and Lacrosse offered at local sites in conjunction with local youth sport organizations.

If you do not have access to a computer and would like information mailed to you, just call the Recreation office at 941-6560 and they will be happy to send you what you need.  

The 2015 Briarcliff Swimming & Diving Team program starts on Monday, June 8 with practices in the evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact the Recreation Department.

The program is for children ages 6-18 who already know how to swim and want to get involved in competitive swimming & diving.
