Ossining Waterfront Concert, 7:30 p.m.
Singer/songwriter Pete Herger will perform rock and melodic pop at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park stage next to the Hudson River.
Playland Park Fireworks, 9:15 p.m.
Enjoy fireworks, accompanied by music at Playland Park in Rye. Admission is free, parking fees apply.
Maryknoll Sisters Center Tour, 1 p.m.
This is your chance to see a sacred and peaceful place in Ossining. The tour will cover the heritage center, library, chapel, cloister, cemetery and other parts of the historic Maryknoll Sisters Center, founded in 1912 by Mary Josephine Rogers. The tour is sponsored by the Ossining Historical Society Museum with the support of the Rudolph & John Dirks Fund. No charge for the tour. Meet at the main building at 10 Pinesbridge Road. Make Your Own Solar Power, 10 a.m.
Join Croton Point Park Nature Center staff to build your own solar cooker. Take it home and use it to make treats with the power of the sun. Meet at Croton Point Nature Center. Parking $4 with county park pass; $8 without park pass.

Observe aquatic life at the Marshlands Conservancy's spring-fed streams. Hand lenses provided. Long pants and socks with shoes recommended. Event is free at the Marshlands Conservancy on Route 1 in Rye.
