Retirement Send-Off for Burton Next Weekend

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – A retirement brunch for Westchester County Legislator William Burton will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Atria building at 321 North Highland Avenue (Route 9) in Ossining.

Burton served District 9 of the county legislature, which covers Cortlandt, Croton-on-the-Hudson, Ossining, Briarcliff Manor and, up until last year, parts of Peekskill for the past six years. He stepped down at the end of December and was replaced by former Ossining town supervisor and fellow Democrat Catherine Borgia.

The majority of the proceeds will be contributed to the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps., which serves the residents of the Atria and the greater Ossining community.  The brunch is open to the public with a contribution of $50 per person, includes a gift.

Checks should be made payable to Richard Wishnie/Burton Party and mailed to Richard Wishnie, 47 Briarbrook Drive, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510. For more information about the event, call (914)-953-8297.
