Police: More Briarcliff Mailboxes Destroyed

Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. – Village of Briarcliff Manor police are still looking for suspects involved in destroying a string of mailboxes throughout the village in the last month. 

Residents on Holly Place and Sleepy Hollow Road joined an ever-growing list of residents who have reported damaged mailboxes in the village. Police say the mailboxes on Holly Place and Sleepy Hollow Road were reported damaged or destroyed Saturday and the incidents most likely occurred Friday night. 

Residents previously reported cases of mailboxes destroyed on Feb. 11 and 12 along Whitson Road and Alder Drive. More than a dozen Briarcliff Manor residents also reported their mailboxes were damaged or destroyed on Sunday, Feb. 5. 

Police are continuing to ask the public for assistance with information on the mailboxes that were destroyed on Whitson Road, Alder Drive, Holly Place, Sleepy Hollow Road, Holbrook Lane, Meadow Place, Apple Lane, Central Drive West, Hollow Tree Road and Willow Drive in Briarcliff Manor.  

“There were no witnesses in any of the incidents,” said Briarcliff Manor officer Michael Zazzini previously. “If anyone has any information on it, please call us.” 

Briarcliff Patrolman Angelo Guzzo confirmed Tuesday that no one has been arrested in relation to any of the incidents and that there were no witnesses in any of the incidents.
