Police: Destroyed Briarcliff Mailboxes Continue

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – More destroyed mailboxes were added Saturday to a growing list in Briarcliff Manor.

Village of Briarcliff Manor police are still looking for suspects involved in a string of mailboxes that have been destroyed throughout the village in the last month. A resident on Sleepy Hollow Drive reported a mailbox was destroyed Saturday. Residents previously reported cases of mailboxes destroyed on Feb. 25 on Holly Place and Sleepy Hollow Road and on Feb. 11 and 12 along Whitson Road and Alder Drive. More than a dozen Briarcliff Manor residents also reported their mailboxes were damaged or destroyed on Feb. 5. 

Police are continuing to ask the public for assistance with information on the mailboxes.  

“There were no witnesses in any of the incidents,” Briarcliff Manor Officer Michael Zazzini has said. “If anyone has any information on it, please call us.” 

Briarcliff Patrolman Felipe Anastacio said Monday that police suspect teenagers are involved in the incidents but no one has been arrested in relation to any of the crimes and there were no witnesses in any of the incidents.
