OSSINING, N.Y. Parents have been invited to a discussion at Ossining High School on Thursday about alcohol and drug use trends in Ossining.
Judy Mezey and Beverly Pierce of Student Assistance Services, a non-profit that provides substance abuse prevention and early intervention services, will talk to parents about how they can help protect their children and what's working to prevent substance abuse.
The event, called "Parents: You Matter," is sponsored by the Ossining Parent Teacher Association Council and Ossining Communities That Care. It will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Ossining High School library.
