Mount Pleasant Library Offers Concert, Book Signing

One highlight is a concert with musicians Tom Doyle and Sandy Cory. In addition to their songs, Doyle will give a talk about Les Paul, the father of the electric guitar. That is on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.

Author Robert Sullivan will visit the library on Dec. 17 to speak about his new book, "A Child's Christmas in New England", a personal memoir about his life during the 1950s. Sullivan is the Managing Editor of LIFE books. It starts at 7 p.m.

A children's show called "Palace of Wonders" will feature singing storytellers Uncle Eye and Julia bringing tales of magic plants and the Rubber Chicken of Freedom. The sing-along begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. Free tickets are available now at the front desk.

Plenty of DVDs are also available including new releases such as "The Wolverine", "The Hunt", "Elysium" and "The Lone Ranger".
