BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Teardown for the Law Park pavilion's super structure will begin later this week, according to Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli’s latest report.

The village had a mobilization meeting with the demolition company over the teardown. Work will primarily include the recently-burned pavilion's super structure, major additional cleanup, enhanced safety barriers and protective measure for the remaining portions.

After teardown, the next phase will be receiving bids for the rehab of the lower level pool facilities. Bids are due Feb. 16.

An independent engineering company verified that the pavilion floor remains structurally sound without compromise after the December fire.

The pool and summer camp are expected to be fully up and running before the Memorial Day opening.
