Downed Trees Lead To Several Road Closures

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Early morning storms resulted in several downed trees on major roadways in the area on Friday.

Traffic was closed in both directions on Route 22 in North Castle after reports of a downed tree at 7:50 a.m. The incident, south of King Street, was cleared by 9 a.m.

There were stop-and-go delays on the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway at Weaver Street in Scarsdale following an accident at 8 a.m.

Earlier Friday, a downed tree led to the closure of one lane of the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley near Peekskill Hollow Road.
